Having a rummage around in Yorkshire and I came across this old photo from the BBC young folk award tour. Not sure I can even remember all the people here… I don’t even like to think of when this was taken!
Found this cushion in a cupboard in Kathryn’s old childhood bedroom. It’s the coolest school needlework project ever!!!!!!
The music is done and mixed, we’ve managed some new photos ( courtesy of the marvellous Jane Hewitt ) now we just need 5 minutes to put it all together. We might even manage a small sneak preview of a song or two on the website !
It’s great to be back on the road. The gigs are going fantastically this week and we are slowly slipping in more and more of the ‘new’ songs. It’s hard to escape from requests, but we love playing the ‘oldies’ too. See you soon somewhere down the road. K+S xx
We’re slowly getting there . 6 tracks mixed, but on hold ‘til Sean finishes producing the new Levellers album. Waiting on a few guest vocals, it’s taken this long there’s no point in rushing the last mile! : )
In answer to a number of questions emailed in the last few days here is the lowdown on the couple of new songs we have played live recently.
The a-cappella number Kathryn opened with at ‘Folk by the Oak’ is called ‘Huldra’ and is based upon an eerie Scandinavian folk tale.

The song about Kathryn’s childhood memories of the miners strike in South Yorkshire is called ‘The Ballad of Andy Jacobs’.
Both songs were written by Kathryn, and both shall appear on our forthcoming new album.
Thanks for all the enquiries.

Here’s the latest instrument to appear on our new album. The wooden ruler, not the beer ! Turns out it makes a great bass in the right pair of hands.
Happy release day Ben !! Check out Dennis Hopper Choppers new disc ’ Be Ready’ on general release from today. It’s a fine musical feast.
Hey folks, check out these Aussies busking, they have a rather unique drummer don’t you think. We would love to see this lot in the flesh. ‘Set Sail’ is the band.
